Sensing this need, Greg Johnson and Rick Turner started Quality Cleaners in April of 1983. Both are longtime Gainesville residents and active members of their community. Greg Johnson was born in Indiana. He is active in the Gator Exchange Club, Chamber of Commerce and the Business Development Council. |

Rick Turner was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida. He's active in sports, church and the community. Rick is also a former professional baseball player with the Montreal Expos. Now he spends most of his free time on the golf course. Greg and Rick started their first store at Millhopper Marketplace Shopping Center and have seen this area grow into the busy center that it is today. After expanding and adding another location in Newberry Square Shopping Center in December of 1986, their reputation as the Gainesville's best cleaners grew as well. |

Quality Cleaners was Voted #1 by the readers of the Gainesville Sun. When they expanded into their new, 7,000 square-foot plant at 11 NE 23rd Avenue in 1997, Quality Cleaners recieved the City of Gainesville Beautification Award. In 1998, American Dry Cleaner magazine also awarded them Top 3 in the USA for Plant Design. |
